After leaving MHS, I graduated college and married Jim Morasch in 1969. We lived in the Columbia Basin of Washington (Pasco, Richland, Kennewick) for many years. We're in the middle of Washington wine country. My husband, Jim, was the Airport Manager at the TriCities Regional Airport from 1980 until 2011 when he was killed in a car accident on his way to work (www.tri-cityherald.com/2011/02/13/1366207/family-friends-remember-jim-morasch.html#storylink=misearch). I truly appreciate the MHS friends who helped me get thru the grief and watch out for me still - you know who you are and your friendship and kindness pulled me back into the world. Friends are gifts that last a lifetime.

I worked for many years as a technical editor for Battelle at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory - a U.S. Department of Energy National Lab. I loved my job and mainly worked with the Ecology Division. After retirement in 2007, I continued to work for DOE for a few years. Now, I'm truly retired and still in the TriCities along with my kids and grandkids - three kids I'm proud of, six grandchildren who make me laugh, and a dog who loves me. Life is good! I enjoy bicycling trips with friends on paved easy trails - I'm not a road warrior - and day hikes in the Northwest. I recently learned to do quilting. And on many weekends I can be found cheering on grandkids at sports, drama, or orchestra events or working in my garden.
