I was in Moscow for such a short time, I kind of feel like an intruder, but I have so many memories of Moscow and all you wonderful people.... I went to college at Auburn then dental school at Emory in Atlanta. I went straight into the Air Force after school, to an internship in Ohio, volunteered for Southeast Asia to see what was going on with the war but was stationed in Thailand, a true paradise. There I decided there was more to life than filling teeth, so I went into an oral and maxillofacial surgery residency in South Carolina, finishing in 1978. I spent 24 years in the Air Force making the most of every opportunity and having a blast and retired as the dental commander at Eglin AFB here in Ft Walton Beach, FL, in '95. I didn't make general, but I was the youngest full colonel on active duty when I was promoted at age 39. I went into private practice when I retired with a fellow Air Force surgeon and have been a slave to the almighty dollar for the past 10 years.

After swearing I'd never get married, I married a Thai girl when I started my residency. We have a daughter who is an attorney in Washington, DC, and a possess terrier.
Life is good, but will be better when I get my boatlift repaired. Hurricane Ivan ripped us up pretty bad.
