Carol Ann Strong, 74, of Meridian, passed away Thursday February 17, 2022 at her home. Carol was born July 31, 1947 in Blackfoot, Idaho to Roy and Norma Bell. Shortly thereafter the family moved to Moscow, Idaho. As a youngster she enjoyed many things, but the thrill of riding her horse Queenie in the Moscow foothills brought her the most enjoyment. Graduating from Moscow High School in 1965 found her becoming a beautician and enrolling at the University a year later. While attending the University of Idaho she met her husband to be Ed. They were married June 1, 1968. Carol and Ed first settled in Payette, Idaho where their two children, Steve and Linda were born. Carol relocated where Ed’s job took them finally settling in Meridian, Idaho. Carol did many things in her life with family and friends. Her greatest enjoyment was caring for family. From taking Steve and Linda to little league, soccer (in the rain), basketball, gymnastics and volleyball, she was always there for it all. After relocating to Meridian, Idaho she found time to ride her new horse Ty. She also secured her license to sell insurance as well as volunteering at the St. Luke’s Hospital in Meridian. She was a loving wife, mother, and above all a loving grandma. Her eyes always lit up when seeing her children, their spouses and her grandchildren. We miss you. Carol is survived by her husband Ed; children: Steve (Gemma) Strong, and their sons: Hayden, C.J., and Topher; Linda (Glenn) Skidmore and their children, Ainsley, Aleah, and Chris (Kelsey) and their great granddaughter Remy; brothers; Ted (Anne) Bell, and John (Toyoka) Bell; and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the hospice staff from St. Luke’s for their help and support. A memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, May 14, 2022 at Ten Mile Christian Church in Meridian. Condolences to the family may be left at www.accentfuneral.com. |

Spouse: Ed Strong
Kids: Steve Linda We lived in Payette where Ed taught Voc. Ag. for seven years. I completed Beauty School, but never did much work in a shop - did cut Ed's and the kids hair, though. We moved around as Ed was transferred in his work with Asgrow (now "Seminis Seed") from Idaho to Mt. Vernon, WA, where we lived for 13 years. Now we're back in Meridian and Ed is a director for the NW. Steve and Linda were active in sports in school and Linda was a "Homecoming Princess." I worked in a variety of jobs over the years - checker/bookkeeper in a grocery store, "Welcome Neighbor" lady, office manager, J.C. Penney, insurance sales, and now volunteer work. Last year I got Pres. Bush's Bronze "Vol. of America" award. I got my horse Tye three years ago after 35 years of waiting. He is an Arabian Bay with so much spirit. I love him!
I wish I could come to the reunion, but that is when farmers are so busy. |
